India Gate

This memorial arch, designed by architect Edwin Lutyens. India Gate represents the sacrifice of 70,000 Indian troops who died fighting against a foreign force during World War I. It features the everlasting Amar Jawan Jyoti, or Flame of the Immortal Soldier, which was later added to honour Indian martyred heroes in the Indo-Pak War. This magnificent work of art is one of India's largest war memorials. The building is surrounded by beautiful meadows and stands on a Bharatpur stone base, making it a favorite picnic area specially in evening. When it illuminates at night, the monument seems stunning, with colorful fountains in the surrounding area.

Red Fort

The Mughals built the Red Fort in 1639, and it gets its name from the huge red-colored sandstone walls. The octagonal-shaped fort is located in Old Delhi and has an area of 254 acres. The fort's planning and design are a mixture of Mughal, Persian, Hindu, and Timurid traditions. The Red Fort, which had a great effect on following constructions built in and around Delhi, also has a museum that displays Mughal-era artefacts such as daggers, curtains, miniature paintings, and carpets. The peacock throne, step well, royal bath, Moti Masjid, and Hira Mahal are among some of the architectural features.

Qutub Minar

 Qutab-ud-din Aibak constructed Qutub Minar in 1192, which is thought to have signified the entrance of Muslim rulers in the nation. It is one of the world's highest minarets, at 72.5 meters tall. The tower has five stories, the first three are made of red sandstone and the fourth and fifth made of marble and sandstone. In the Qutub Minar Complex, there is also a 7-meter-high Iron Pillar (from the Gupta imperium). It is believed that if you can encircle it with your hands while standing with your back to it and make a wish your wish will be fulfilled.

Akshardham Temple

Akshardham Temple, dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan, showcases India's rich culture. The temple complex has a step-well shaped courtyard and 60 acres of beautiful grounds with bronze statues of Indian heroes such as patriots and warriors . The Guinness World Record lists the temple as the World's biggest comprehensive Hindu temple, and it is an architectural masterpiece made of elaborately carved sandstone and marble. Furthermore, the temple hosts exhibitions on Swaminarayan's life teachings, as well as a musical fountain and light display every day after sunset.

Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid, located in the center of Old Delhi, is India's largest and most well-known mosque. It was built between 1650 and 1656 under the reign of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, and it took over 5000 laborer's to finish this lavish monument. This famous mosque is built with red sandstone and marble, has three gates, four towers, two 40-meter-high minarets, and a courtyard that can house 25,000 worshipers. 

Rashtrapati Bhavan

This huge 330-acre estate is flanked on the western end of Rajpath by the Main Building , the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex, and the world-famous Mughal Gardens. This massive palace is the official residence of the President. The Rashtrapati Bhawan designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker, is the world's biggest home for any head of state and a unique architectural masterpiece.
