The fort, named after King Willim III, is located in front of Maidan, the city's largest park. To visit Fort William, you'll need a special authorization from the Commanding Officer. The Hindu saint Ramakrishna Paramahansa used to live on the peaceful eastern bank of the Hooghly River, and this temple was formerly his home. It is one of Kolkata's most well-known temples.
